The Social Studies Council of Alabama is the state affiliate of the National Council for the Social Studies.

Thank you to all of the teachers, presenters and staff that made the Social Studies Conference a success.  We have already followed up on your many suggestions and will be moving the conference to the fall.  Mark your calendars now for the October 1-2, 2008 and help us "Chart a New Course for Social Studies"

Registration for the Fall Conference is open.  The Conference will be held at the Alabama Department of Archives and History building in Montgomery Alabama.
